EXPLAINING THE VISION

Why Regional Kingdom Network?

I am still hearing a lot of talk about revival, transformation, power that God is going to release, wanting big crowds and exciting things to happen and a general excitement and exuberance about these things.

It is good to have this as we surely need it in our region and nation.

However, I am not hearing as much about unity and prayer. It tells me that many people do not have a biblical concept of unity or they would realize how important it is. We will deal with this in future posts.

For now I want to deal with some foundational truth as to why this is so important to the LORD.

Some people have innocently referred to this as Hank’s Vision because I am the one who started speaking about this in order to get some people together. This is not my vision, however. It is the vision that Jesus has for His Church and so that makes it everyone’s vision.

Regional Kingdom Network is the vision of Jesus for His church to prepare her for all that is going to happen in the coming years. This is true because this is His prophetic word going forth in all the nations. When Jesus gave His warnings to the churches in Revelation, it was in view of His return and what would happen. Jesus said “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches, to him who overcomes I will give….”

I want to quote a few scriptures to show the LORD’S heart in this matter.
MATTHEW 16:18 “And on this rock (Peter’s revelation that Jesus was the Son of God) I will build My church and the gates of hell will not overcome it.”

Jesus is Lord of our lives, we are not our own but are bought with a price, His precious blood.

When Jesus said My church, He was not thinking about all the different denominations and separate churches we have today. But it was His concept of His church and that has not happened yet. Even our local churches do not fully represent His concept of His church. In His mind He only wanted one church flowing in love and united through our obedience to His Lordship. If we love Him we will obey Him.
JOHN 17:20-23 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are One: I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.”

Jesus prayed for us that we would be one as He and the Father are one. That we would be brought to complete unity.

Do we believe that the Father is going to answer this prayer of Jesus? I don’t think Jesus would have prayed it if He did not think it would be answered. I also do not think that God would allow it to be put in the Bible if He was not going to answer it. But how will this be done?

Jesus tells us in JOHN 17:28 “That the love You have for Me may be in them and that I Myself may be in them.”

As we continue to build relationships and practice sacrificial love, we will all mature spiritually. We are all immature in this oneness yet. But as we keep forgiving and praying for those that hurt us or make us angry, we will become stronger in God’s love which will bring us into emotional maturity and bind us together in unity. COLOSSIANS 2:2-3 “My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

COLOSSIANS 3:14 “And over all these virtues, put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

The sacrificial love of God is the only thing that binds our hearts together in true unity, as Jesus and the Father are one. Just as our children and our spouses are bound into our hearts through that same kind of sacrifice for one another. Just as we are bound into the Fathers’ heart and the heart of Jesus through His sacrifice for us. Jesus said, “No man has greater love then to lay down his life for his brother.” This is why the Spirit of God jealously yearns over us. We are His children, His family. This church that Jesus is building will be a remnant made up of those who hear what the Spirit is saying and who overcome by love and make themselves vessels of honour fit for the Masters’ use through obedience to His Lordship.

If this was my vision, everyone could receive it or ignore it. But this is the LORD’S vision for His church. If we hear what the Spirit is saying then we cannot ignore it because we all have a part to play in it.

For encouragement read HEBREWS 3:7-19.

Yours in Christ,
Hank
